  15.      All named files are recreated with their current symbolic link
  16.      information.  A symbolic link is a special kind of file whose contents
  17.      are the name of another file (see _s_y_m_l_i_n_k(2)).  A symbolic link contains
  18.      the name of the file to which it is linked, and is created with the _l_n(1)
  19.      command.

  21.      The _r_e_s_y_m_l_i_n_k command allows a user to recreate a current symbolic link,
  22.      possibly using different filesystem creation policies.  In particular, if
  23.      the Extent Filesystem global system parameter eeeeffffssss____iiiinnnnlllliiiinnnneeee is non-zero,
  24.      symbolic link information is stored within an EFS file's inode structure,
  25.      and not in a separate (out-of-line) filesystem block.  This saves disk
  26.      space and incore memory space and is faster to interpret for symbolic
  27.      link files that are currently being accessed by the system.  For more

  32.      Inline symbolic links are not supported on systems prior to IRIX 5.3
  33.      (32-bit) or IRIX 6.0.1 (64-bit).  If an EFS filesystem that contains
  34.      inline symbolic links is to be moved to a pre-5.3/6.0.1 system--moved
  35.      either physically or logically, as when a system is downgraded to a
  36.      previous release--all inline symbolic links must first be recreated out-
  37.      of-line.  This is accomplished by setting the eeeeffffssss____iiiinnnnlllliiiinnnneeee system parameter
  38.      to 0 and running _r_e_s_y_m_l_i_n_k on all EFS symbolic links that have been
  39.      created in-line.  For example:
